Another 10cm overnight at the lodge (60cm in the past week), and more storms to come. In the mid mountain and alpine, we have seen well over a metre in the last few days. March has roared in like a white lion.

We expect some sunny breaks tomorrow before the next storms Tues and Wed.

Welcome To Backcountry Snowcats

Backcountry Snowcats is a Cat Skiing and Snowboarding operation hidden in British Columbia's South Chilcotin Mountains just to the north of Whistler, Canada. The weather here is colder and drier than nearby Whistler (30 kms away) but gets all of the same storm cycles. It snows on average 10m (32ft) of cold dry snow per season accumulating up to 3.5m (11.5ft) base, making the terrain prime for skiing and riding.

Be sure to add Cat Skiing to your Whistler activities and Discover Backcountry Snowcats this winter »
