We have had our first major storm of the season, 20 cm fell Friday night and saturday welcoming us to the 2016/17 season.

The forecast for the next few days is a rising barometer and clearing skys. So we still have a few weeks before we get the skiis out!

Welcome To Backcountry Snowcats

Backcountry Snowcats is a Cat Skiing and Snowboarding operation hidden in British Columbia's South Chilcotin Mountains just to the north of Whistler, Canada. The weather here is colder and drier than nearby Whistler (30 kms away) but gets all of the same storm cycles. It snows on average 10m (32ft) of cold dry snow per season accumulating up to 3.5m (11.5ft) base, making the terrain prime for skiing and riding.
