Backcountry Snowcats - Premier Whistler Cat Skiing and Cat Boarding Adventures

Our fantastic team

It takes a lot of hard work and good people to make it safe and fun in the mountains. We are always striving day and night to do both. Every small business needs the best people to succeed and at Backcountry Snowcats we have brought together a group of people second to none.

Kathy and Reg Milne

Reg and Kathy Milne have lived in the mountains all their lives and love sharing this magical winter playground with people from around the world. Please feel free to contact us any time for a chat about the operation or tell us what you liked or dis- liked about your trip, we are always ready to make your experience better.

Cornelius (Conny) Amelunxen

Squamish BC is home for Conny when he is not in the mountains. Being an ACMG full guide keeps him traveling the world leading his clients to the peaks of the worlds highest mountains.

Graham Underhill

Graham has lived and Guided in the Whistler area for decades. He fills in for us whenever he can. His experience is long with winter ski guiding and loves to bring his family up to the lodge when he is guiding with us.

Glen Kaleka

Joining the guiding team this year we have Glen Kaleka, an experienced ACMG guide who'll be squeezing some much anticipated early season guiding with us, in between his summer of surfing in Tofino and mid-winter guiding in Bella Coola.

Jay (Jason) Reynolds

Jay, aka Jason Reynolds, is our regular tailguide and BSL operations Manager, who has been with Backcountry Snowcats since day 1. Squamish based by summer, Jay spends as much time as possible up at Backcountry Snowcats. Jay is currently working on an ACMG certificate and CAA level 2. , and
working on a ACMG program and CAA level 2.

An ex ski racer, when Jay isn't working with us he's shredding Whistler's lift-accessed lines, snowmobiling, or just causing a ruckus and having a good time.

Alastair Collis

Alastair Collis, aka, Al, is a long time Blackcomb Mountain patroller who definitely knows his way around the mountains, and will get you to the goods when you need them. When he's not guiding with us Al lives his alter ego as a para-glide instructor, avid ski tourer and snowmobiler. In fact he's fresh off his Trans-Mongolian paragliding trip, and ready for another epic winter.

Jennifer Godbout (Jibber)

Jibber_small.jpg

When she's not wondering the globe in search of new cultures and experiences, 'Jibber' is our flagship snowboard tail guide at Backcountry Snowcats. She knows winter is where it's at, but when the 'off season' inevitably arrives, she's off to Maui where she probably squints to the horizon every day, wondering if and when it will ever snow enough to shred the local volcanoes.

Jeff Willson (Jelly)

Jelly_small.jpg

Hailing from a race background, Jelly is an incredibly experienced course worker for Worldcup Downhills and Olympic events. But he's the first to admit that railing on hard-packed snow is only part of the equation, and Backcountry Snowcats is the answer to the other half... backcountry pow, of which he's a loyal fan.
