Lodge Life
Hurley Mountain Lodge
The Hurley Mountain Lodge is situated at 1500 metres (5000 feet) near the Hurley Pass, just north of Pemberton in the South Chilcotin mountains. It’s right in the heart of the action, where you want to be. The lodge has all you need and nothing you don’t.
The Hurley Mountain Lodge is a modular building designed to accommodate up to 14 guests and our staff. It’s situated right in the mountains, 1430 metres (5000 feet) above sea level in the Hope Creek Valley, at the bottom of the Black Forest zone which features some of our best tree skiing.
The lodge is comfortable and functional. Enjoy apres ski fun and a home-cooked dinner, and then retire to your comfy bed when you can’t keep your eyes open any longer. The rooms are double occupancy, with two beds in each room. Linen, pillows, and towels are provided. There are men’s and women’s washrooms and showers, a full kitchen, and dining and lounge areas.
Internet is available if desired, or you can choose to truly escape in a backcountry experience.
Food
Enjoy a home-cooked, family style menu at Backcountry Snowcats. We make sure there are lots of healthy choices and enough food to satisfy the largest appetites.
Our in-house chefs cook up an amazing array of food to make sure you’re full of energy for long days spent ripping pow. There are always lots of healthy choices and plenty of food. We will also accommodate your special requirements - just let us know when you are booking your trip. Our cooks are just as passionate about their food as they are skiing. We support local farms and suppliers by buying most of our food locally in Pemberton.
Breakfast is a hot, cooked meal featuring all the classics, with a continental choice as well to top up your energy stores. You’ll enjoy lunch on the fly in the snowcat, with homemade sandwiches, snacks, and baked treats. Dinners are served as a family meal so we can get together and socialize at the end of the day.
Apres
After a day spent skiing or boarding your legs off, nothing feels better than a warm lodge and a cold beer. Our apres scene puts the emphasis on relaxation and recovery.
As soon as you get back to the lodge, you’ll be tempted by a hearty snack from our chef to get you through until dinner. Then you can engage in some serious chill time! Soak in the outdoor hot tub, catch up on the latest ski magazines, or enjoy some fun and games in the entertainment lounge.
After dinner it’s up to you to choose how to spend the remaining hours of the evening. Perhaps you wish to read or play cards in our entertainment lounge, or venture outside to soak in the highest hot tub on the Hurley. Either way, by the time you head to your room for the night, we guarantee that you’ll barely be able to keep your eyes open.
Please note that we don’t sell alcohol in the lodge, but we invite you to bring your own drinks.
